Presenilin-1 upregulates β-catenin to promote phosphatase and tensin homolog phosphorylation and cytoplasmic retention, thereby inactivating its tumor suppressor function and enhancing gastric cancer cell invasion and metastasis. γ-secretase inhibitor blocks this pathway and inhibits tumor metastasis.
