INTRODUCTION
All articles published by Baishideng Publishing Group (BPG) are selected by an in-house editor and fully peer-reviewed by external reviewers. BPG applies the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, which permits others to distribute, remix, adapt, build upon this work non-commercially, and license their derivative works on different terms, provided the original work is properly cited and the use is non-commercial. OPEN-ACCESS
All BPG journals are open-access (OA). An Article Processing Charge (APC) for OA publication will be invoiced upon the acceptance of each manuscript and remitted in full by the authors’ affiliations or funders to BPG before publication. The APC covers the costs of peer review, copyediting, typesetting, long-term archiving, and journal management.
RULES OF APC
The applicable APC category is determined by the Editorial Office based on the information provided at the time of manuscript submission. Authors must satisfy all eligibility requirements before the manuscript is accepted for publication. BPG reserves the right to verify eligibility and to determine the applicable APC category in accordance with its APC policies.
For unsolicited manuscripts, the following APC categories apply:
Category 1: Standard APC
Applicable to general manuscripts that do not qualify for any preferential APC category.
Category 2: Young Scholar APC
Applicable to manuscripts for which the first author is under 45 years of age at the time of submission.
Category 3: Editorial Board Member/Peer Reviewer APC
Applicable to manuscripts for which the first author or corresponding author is a registered editorial board member or peer reviewer of the submitting BPG journal.
This preferential APC category applies only to the journal with which the author is registered and is not transferable to any other BPG journal.
Category 4: Special APC
Applicable to authors who are eligible under specific APC policies or promotional programmes announced by BPG.
In addition, BPG participates in the Research4Life programme. Authors from Group A countries are entitled to a full APC waiver, while authors from Group B countries are eligible for APC Category 3.
For invited manuscripts, the APC is fully waived.
All applications for APC waivers and discounts should be made at the point of manuscript submission; requests made during the review process or after acceptance are unable to be considered.
