2017-03-09 下午一点钟Baishideng Publishing Group（BPG）董事长和总编辑马连生，财务总监郭调梅和副总编辑马俐博士，访问National Library of Medicine（NLM，美国国立医学图书馆）刊物出版商联络部，马连生总编辑致辞如下：

首先，我们非常感谢NLM在16年之前，就将我们出版的第一本英文版World Journal of Gastroenterology (WJG)收录在MEDLINE数据库中。但是非常遗憾，我们近几年新创办的23本刊物被MEDLINE拒绝收录。此次我们访问国家医学图书馆，希望能够进一步了解MEDLINE拒绝收录刊物的主要理由。

其次，在2010年之后PubMed和PubMed Central（PMC）收录了我们出版的22本新刊物。非常感谢PMC团队对BPG收录刊物的学术质量和技术评估，以及全文内容发布的大力支持。

第三，过去我们向PMC提交新创办刊物经过学术质量和技术评估，很快就有结果，合作非常愉快。最近几年，我们遇到了很多困难，刊物申请评估几乎没有任何结果，更谈不到刊物被收录。非常困惑，不知道何种原因。
