In 2016, the World Journal of Psychiatry (WJP) has published the 3rd issue which containing 13 articles contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Neuroinflammation and cytokine abnormality in major depression: Cause or consequence in that illness?”, a Review by Yong Ku Kim, MD, PhD, Professor, et al from the Department of Psychiatry, College of Medicine, Korea University, Ansan Hospital, South Korea; (2) “Voxel-based magnetic resonance imaging investigation of poor and preserved clinical insight in people with schizophrenia”, an Original Article by Veena Kumari, PhD, et al from the Department of Psychology, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London, United Kingdom; and (3) “Understanding the paranoid psychosis of James: Use of the repertory grid technique for case conceptualization”, a Case Report by Helena García-Mieres, MD, et al from the Department of Personality, Assessment and Psychological Treatments, Faculty of Psychology, University of Barcelona, Spain, etc. We invite you to peruse all 13 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in psychiatry that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
