In 2016, the World Journal of Gastroenterology(WJG)has published the 34th issue which containing 22articles including 14 Reviews, five Original Articles, one Evidence-Based Medicine, one Meta-Analysis and one Case Report contributed byscientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Preventive health measures in inflammatory bowel disease”, a Review article by Tauseef Ali,et al fromSection of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition, Department of Medicine, Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center,United States; (2) “Sessile serrated adenoma/polyps: Where are we at in 2016?”, a Review article by Rajvinder Singh, MBBS, MPhil, FRACP, AM, FRCP, Chair of the AGEA, Director, Clinical Associate Professor, et al from Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospital, NALHN School of Medicine, University of Adelaide, Australia; and (3) “Cost effectiveness of routine duodenal biopsies in iron deficiency anemia”, anEvidence-Based Medicine by Efrat Broide, MD, Professor, et al from The Kamila Gonczarowski Institute of Gastroenterology, Assaf Harofeh Medical Center, Israel, etc. We invite you to peruse all 22 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in gastroenterology and hepatology that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
