In 2016, the World Journal of Nephrology (WJN) has published the 5th issue which containing 10 articles contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Latin American Dialysis and Transplant Registry: Experience and contributions to end-stage renal disease epidemiology”, a Frontier by Ana Maria Cusumano, MD, PhD, et al from the CEMIC University Institute School of Medicine, Argentina; (2) “Hypertensive disorders in pregnancy”, a Minireviews by Mohamed G Atta, MD, MPH, et al from the Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, United States; and (3) “Factors associated with regular dental visits among hemodialysis patients”, an Original Article by Masami Yoshioka, DDS, PhD, Associate Professor, et al from the Department of Oral Health Science and Social Welfare, Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Tokushima University Graduate School, Japan, etc. We invite you to peruse all 10 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in nephrology that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
