In 2016, the World Journal of Cardiology (WJC) has published the 8th issue which containing 7 articles contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Renal sympathetic denervation in therapy resistant hypertension - pathophysiological aspects and predictors for treatment success”, a Review by Philipp Lurz, MD, PhD, et al from the Department of Internal Medicine/Cardiology, University of Leipzig - Heart Center, Germany; and (2) “Rationale and design of the cardiorespiratory fitness and hospitalization events in armed forces study in Eastern Taiwan”, an Original Article by Gen-Min Lin, MD, MPH, et al from the Department of Medicine, Hualien-Armed Forces General Hospital, Taiwan, etc. We invite you to peruse all 7 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in cardiology that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
