In 2018, the World Journal of Gastroenterology (WJG) has published the 27th issue which containing 11 articles including 6 reviews, and 5 original articles, contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “MicroRNAs in the prognosis and therapy of colorectal cancer: From bench to bedside”, a review by Kenneth KW To, PhD, Associate Professor, et al fromSchool of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China; (2) “Liver intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion-weighted imaging for the assessment of hepatic steatosis and fibrosis in children”, a retrospective study by Mi-Jung Lee, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor, et al from Department of Radiology, Severance Hospital, Severance Pediatric Liver Disease Research Group, Research Institute of Radiological Science, Yonsei University College of Medicine, South Korea; and (3) “New fecal test for non-invasive Helicobacter pylori detection: A diagnostic accuracy study”, a clinical trials study by Enzo Ierardi, MD, Associate Professor, et al from Section of Gastroenterology, Department of Emergency and Organ Transplantation, University of Bari, Italy, etc. We invite you to peruse all 11 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in gastroenterology and hepatology that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
