In 2018, the World Journal of Gastroenterology (WJG) has published the 7th issue which containing 11 articles including 1 review, 8 original articles, 1 case report and 1 correction contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Epidemiology, determinants, and management of AIDS cholangiopathy: A review”, a minireviews by Veysel Tahan, MD, FACP, FACG, FESBGH, Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, et al from Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Department of Internal Medicine, University of Missouri, United States; (2) “Glucose transporter expression in the human colon”, a basic study by Flavia Merigo, BSc, et al from Human Anatomy and Histology Section, Department of Neuroscience, Biomedicine and Movement, University of Verona, Italy; and (3) “Predictors of functional benefit of hepatitis C therapy in a ‘real-life’ cohort”, a retrospective study by Anita Pathil, MD, Doctor, et al from Department of Internal Medicine IV, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, University of Heidelberg, Germany, etc. We invite you to peruse all 11 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in gastroenterology and hepatology that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
