In 2018, the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (WJGE) has published the 1st issue which containing 8 articles contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Confocal endomicroscopy and cyst fluid molecular analysis: Comprehensive evaluation of pancreatic cysts”, a Minireviews by Dr. Somashekar G Krishna, MD, Assistant Professor, Doctor, et al from the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, United States; and (2) “Post-endoscopic procedure satisfaction scores: Can we improve?”, an Original Article by Ankita Munjal, MD, et al from the Department of Internal Medicine, MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, United States, etc. We invite you to peruse all 8 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in gastrointestinal endoscopy that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
