In 2017, the World Journal of Orthopedics (WJO) has published the 1st issue which containing 12 articles contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Current management of talar osteochondral lesions”, a Minireviews by John G Kennedy, MD, MCh, MMSc, FRCS (Orth), et al from the Department of Foot and Ankle, Hospital for Special Surgery, United States; (2) “Heterotopic ossification after the use of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-7”, an Original Article by Zoe H Dailiana, MD, PhD, Associate Professor, et al from the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of Thessalia, Greece; and (3) “Novel case of Trevor’s disease: Adult onset and later recurrence”, a Case Report by Matthew A Chin, MD, et al from the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Hahnemann University Hospital, United States, etc. We invite you to peruse all 12 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in orthopedics that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
