In 2016, the World Journal of Orthopedics (WJO) has published the 11st issue which containing 10 articles contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Ankle arthrodesis: A systematic approach and review of the literature”, a Review by John G Kennedy, MD, MCh, MMSc, FRCS (Orth), et al from the Hospital for Special Surgery, United States; (2) “Three-dimensional reconstructed magnetic resonance scans: Accuracy in identifying and defining knee meniscal tears”, an Original Article by Dr. Neil Kruger, et al from Orthopaedic Research Unit, Department of Orthopaedics, University of Cape Town, South Africa; and (3) “Spinal gout: A review with case illustration”, a Systematic Reviews by Hossein Elgafy, MD, MCH, FRCSEd, FRCSC, et al from Department of Orthopedics, University of Toledo Medical Center, United States, etc. We invite you to peruse all 10 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in orthopedics that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
