In 2016, the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (WJGE) has published the 19th issue which containing 6 articles contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Gastrointestinal tract access for urological natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery”, a Minireviews by Dr. Ithaar H Derweesh, et al from the Department of Urology, UC San Diego School of Medicine, United States; and (2) “Patients presenting for colonoscopy: A great opportunity to screen for sleep apnea”, an Original Article by Glenn Harvin, MD, Assistant Professor, et al from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, United States, etc. We invite you to peruse all 6 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in gastrointestinal endoscopy that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
