In 2016, the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology (WJGO) has published the 11st issue which containing 5 articles contributed by scientists worldwide. Among these comprehensive articles are (1) “Robotic rectal surgery: State of the art”, a Review by Fabio Cianchi, MD, et al from the Center of Oncological Minimally Invasive Surgery, Department of Surgery and Translational Medicine, University of Florence, Italy; and (2) “Case of pseudo-Meigs' syndrome caused by gastric cancer-related metastatic ovarian tumor with prolonged survival”, a Case Report by Masaru Okamoto, MD, et al from Department of General Internal Medicine, Tottori Prefectural Central Hospital, Japan, etc. We invite you to peruse all 5 articles in this issue, as they present the latest research progress/findings and provide insightful comments in gastrointestinal oncology that will guide basic research and clinical practice in these fields.
