This study focused on the problem of postoperative recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma and detected four liver cancer stem cell markers. It features a rigorous design and reliable data. The results confirmed that CK19 and CD133 are key indicators for evaluating patient prognosis. Combined detection of these markers can substantially improve the predictive efficacy of conventional assessment models, offering practical references for postoperative risk stratification, individualized follow-up and treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma. However, this is a single-center retrospective study with a relatively short follow-up period, so its conclusions need to be further validated by multi-center and long-term researches.
