Guidelines for Manuscript Preparation, Submission, and Manuscript Format: Meta-Analysis
Meta-Analysis articles are submitted by any author and are composed of a systematic review, mixed treatment comparison, meta-regression, and overview of reviews, and provide a summary of a given quantitative effect (e.g., the effectiveness and safety of clinical treatments determined by combining data from two or more randomized controlled trials, thereby providing more precise and externally valid estimates than those that would be obtained from each individual dataset if analyzed separately from the others).
