Key Words: World Journal of Clinical Cases; Correction

Core Tip: This manuscript is to correct the references of “Mediastinal lesions in children. World J Clin Cases 2023; 11(12): 2637-2656 PMID: 37214576 DOI: 10.12998/wjcc.v11.i12.2637”.

TO THE EDITOR

In the main text of our published article[1], “Vascular lesions are seen as a mediastinal mass at a rate of 10% on direct X-ray and may present as mediastinal enlargement, increased density, tracheal compression, or thickening of the mediastinal lines. The most effective method in diagnosis is CT Angiography[46]”, we have incorrectly cites Reference 46 as 'Reference 46: Carter RAA, West N, Heitz A, Joll CA. An analytical method for the analysis of trihalomethanes in ambient air using solid-phase microextraction gas chromatography-mass spectrometry: An application to indoor swimming pool complexes. IndoorAir 2019; 29: 499-509’. The correct Reference 46 should be: ‘Reference 46: Carter BW. Vascular Lesions of the Mediastinum. In: Melissa Rosado de Christensen and others, editors. Chest Imaging, Rotations in Radiology. New York: Oxford University Press, 2019 [DOI: /10.1093/med/9780199858064.003.0086]’. And, in the main text we have 'reference 16: Davies-Tuck ML, Wluka AE, Teichtahl AJ, Martel-Pelletier J, Pelletier JP, Jones G, Ding C, Davis SR, Cicuttini FM. Association between meniscal tears and the peak external knee adduction moment and foot rotation during level walking in postmenopausal women without knee osteoarthritis: A cross-sectional study. Arthritis Res Ther 2008; 10: R58'. The correct Reference 16 should be: 'Reference 16: Leschied JR, Sanchez R, Ghadimi Mahani M. Imaging evaluation of pediatric mediastinal masses: Pearls and pitfalls. Appl Radiol 2017; 46(11): 8-20'. Please note that these corrections do not impact our results.
