Clinical analysis of 114 cases of bronchiolitis in infants

Bronchiolitis is a prevalent lower respiratory tract infection in infants, often characterized by pronounced dyspnea, decreased oxygen saturation, and symptoms such as cough, asthma, and phlegm. In this study, a total of 114 pediatric patients were analyzed. Routine blood tests, hypersensitive C-reactive protein assessments, and liver and kidney function tests were conducted. Notably, standard respiratory virus detection and sputum culture checks were performed. Serum electrolytes were measured in cases with diarrhea or dehydration. Blood cultures were taken when body temperatures exceeded 38.5 ℃ or when signs of infection or poisoning were evident. Comprehensive data, including clinical and imaging features as well as treatment details, were meticulously recorded and subsequently analyzed.
