Figure 1 Systematic model of the integrative cancer care system. This model illustrates the interrelated elements of an integrative psycho-oncology paradigm for hepatobiliary and pancreatic malignancies. It highlights how structured distress screening, multidisciplinary cooperation between oncology and psychological specialists and coordinated governmental and private support improve communication among patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals, thereby improving treatment adherence and enhancing clinical and psychosocial outcomes.
