Abstract

This is a correction to Figure 4D in the article “Impact of Alcian blue and periodic acid Schiff expression on the prognosis of gastric signet ring cell carcinoma”, published in the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology 2024; 16: 687-698.

Key Words: World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology; Correction

Core Tip: The authors have made a correction to Figure 4D in the article “Impact of Alcian blue and periodic acid Schiff expression on the prognosis of gastric signet ring cell carcinoma”, published in the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology 2024; 16: 687-698 [PMID: 38577442 DOI: 10.4251/wjgo.v16.i3.687].

CORRECTION

Correction to “Impact of Alcian blue and periodic acid Schiff expression on the prognosis of gastric signet ring cell carcinoma”, World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology 2024; 16: 687-698[1].

The authors regret that original Figure 4D in this article was incorrectly cited[1]. This figure with a legend “3-year CSS of patients with SRCC in an advanced stage grouped according to the degree of PAS expression” had appeared identical to original Figure 4A [A: 3-year cancer-specific survival (CSS) of all patients with gastric signet ring cell carcinoma]. The authors have noticed this error, and corrected Figure 4D as follows (Figure 1).

Figure 1
Figure 1 Corrected Figure 4D. A: 3-year cancer-specific survival (CSS) of all patients with gastric signet ring cell carcinoma (SRCC); B: 3-year CSS of all patients grouped according to tumor diameter (P = 0.002); C: 3-year CSS of all patients grouped according to the degree of periodic acid-Schiff (PAS) expression (P = 0.000); D: 3-year CSS of patients with SRCC in an advanced stage grouped according to the degree of PAS expression (P = 0.003). PAS: Periodic acid-Schiff.
