The pathological findings of appendiceal, ileocecal, sigmoid, and rectal mucosal biopsies were consistent with ulcerative changes: Uneven distribution of crypts, crypt distortion, visible cryptitis, focal crypt loss, massive plasma cell and lymphocyte infiltration in the stroma, and focal neutrophil infiltration.
