Figure 1 L-arginine: A promising metabolite in enhancing the protective effects of adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells against ischemic pathologies.
The metabolite L-arginine, enriched in adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells obtained from elderly patients, may enhance the therapeutic efficacy of adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells in ischemic conditions through multiple mechanisms, including promoting angiogenesis and inhibiting cell apoptosis. The schematic model was plotted with BioRender (https://www.biorender.com).
