This review provides a comprehensive, mechanistically insightful synthesis of the emerging interplay among the gut microbiota, epigenetic regulation, and metabolic memory in obesity. Although the overall concept is not entirely novel, the integration of recent evidence and discussion of potential therapeutic strategies make this a timely and valuable contribution to the field.
