Authors used the non scientific terminology COVID "scourge " multiple times in the article and in my opinion COVID pandemic will be more appropriate word as instead of "scourge" .
Authors used Africa in search engine where incidence is lower as compared China, Republic of Korea or USA where is incidence is much higher.

This is a very good review paper on COVID 19 in which the author discussed various aspects of the COVID 19 pandemic and what measures can be taken to improve the outcomes. This article is very well referenced and the language is reader-friendly but a few things could be done to improve the reader’s experience and quality of this paper including.
1.A Figure explaining the viral structure, pathophysiology and treatment modalities along with the site of action
2.A table of different vaccines, mRNA based or not, efficacy and dosing, a Table of preventive measures and treatment modalities could also improve the reader’s experience and could make it easy to learn the key point quickly.

Reader Comments:
Although it is an extended review of the covid -19 pandemic it lacks the quality of a comprehensive and update review. Mutations, vaccinations and new treatments are not discussed in depth. For example monoclonal antibodies and viral peros treatment. Not the basic pathophysiology and disease time- line. Not the current concert of Covid-19 being an "endothelitis'
In order to meet that goal it should have:
1) a figure with a time line of treatment. For example hydroxy chloroquine, once employed, is totally abandoned.
2) table of mutations with their major différences in genetic level, clinical presentation and outcome
3) table of different vaccines, dosing, efficacy in different mutations
4) timeline of disease progression
