The review emphasizes the role of the DC subpopulation in cancer treatment and a possible therapeutic value associated with these populations in lung cancer. Careful definition of the different subpopulations of DCs and their role in cancer will allow for more accurate targeting of immune cells and a better understanding of their role in modulating the immune response.
