Research status and hotspots in transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts based on CiteSpace bibliometric analysis

Que ZL and Wu MS contributed equally to this work as co-first authors. There are two reasons for appointing Que ZL and Wu MS as co-first authors. First, the research was performed as a collaborative effort, and the designation of co-first authorship accurately reflects the distribution of responsibilities and burdens associated with the time and effort required to complete the study and the resultant paper. Second, Que ZL and Wu MS contributed efforts of equal substance throughout the research process. The choice of these researchers as co-first authors acknowledges and respects this equal contribution, while recognizing the spirit of teamwork and collaboration of this study. There are two reasons for appointing Gui SP and Wen LZ as co- corresponding authors. First, Gui SP and Wen LZ designed and supervised the study. Second, Gui SP and Wen LZ come from two different institutions. In summary, we believe that designating Que ZL and Wu MS as co-first authors, Gui SP and Wen LZ as co-corresponding authors are fitting for our manuscript as it accurately reflects our team’s collaborative spirit.

Core Tip: The number of publications in the transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) field continues to rise. This study aims to facilitate an understanding of the research status and hotspots in the TIPS field. CiteSpace software was used to visualize and analyze the number of publications, journals, countries, institutions, authors, keywords, and citations. The greatest obstacle to TIPS placement is currently the occurrence of hepatic encephalopathy, and the research hotspots are the mechanism, risk factors, management, and control of hepatic encephalopathy.
