This paper aims to explore the necessity, application methods, and future development prospects of enteral and parenteral nutrition for gastric cancer patients undergoing neoadjuvant therapy. Through reviewing and analyzing the pertinent research literature, this paper elucidates the nutritional risks encountered by these patients, arising from both the disease itself and the neoadjuvant treatment, and argues for the significant role of enteral and parenteral nutrition in improving patients' nutritional status, enhancing treatment tolerance, and reducing complications. It further introduces the clinical application strategies for enteral and parenteral nutrition. Finally, the paper provides an outlook on future research directions in this field, intending to offer a theoretical basis and practical guidance for clinical nutritional support in gastric cancer patients.
