Celiac disease in children is sometimes an adventure regarding gluten-free diet.Total exclusion of gluten is difficult to achieve especially in children because in practice voluntary and involuntary transgressions are highly frequent.
Treatement monitoring for these patients is also difficult by standard methods (biopsy, serology tests), which is why gluten immunogenic peptides (GIP) detection in stool and urine is a useful and non invasive method as the studies showes.
The important number of studied articles makes this paper valuable, with practical applicability.

We, the authors, agree with the reader's comments. We believe that GIP testing in stool and urine is very useful for monitoring adherence. However, we cannot establish at this point how and which strategy can impact adherence to the GFD in the long term and if it could improve patients' long-term outcomes.
