Abstract
Approximately 5% of all gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding originates from the small bowel. Endoscopic therapy of small bowel bleeding should only be undertaken after consideration of the different options, and the risks, benefits, and alternatives of each option. Endoscopic therapy options for small bowel bleeding are like those treatments used for other forms of bleeding in the upper and lower GI tract. Available endoscopic treatment options include thermal therapy (eg, argon plasma coagulation and bipolar cautery), mechanical therapy (eg, hemoclips), and medical therapy (eg, diluted epinephrine injection). Patients with complicated comorbidities would benefit from evaluation and planning of available treatment options, including conservative and/or medical treatments, beyond endoscopic therapy.

Abstract
Dieulafoy's lesion is a rare cause of gastrointestinal bleeding, accounting for approximately 1-2% of all cases of gastrointestinal bleeding. Dieulafoy's lesion usually occurs in the lesser curvature of the stomach within six centimeters of the gastroesophageal junction. On the other hand, extragastric Dieulafoy's lesions are uncommon. Diagnosing an extragastric Dieulafoy's lesion by endoscopy can be challenging because of its small size and obscure location. The key elements for an accurate diagnosis include heightened awareness and a careful early endoscopic evaluation following a bleeding episode. Various endoscopic hemostatic techniques can be used for treatment. This paper presents a case of successful hemostasis using argon plasma coagulation for a life-threatening duodenal Dieulafoy's lesion.

Abstract
AIMS Although there are many clinical reports on Dieulafoy's disease, there are few studies on the pathological structure of vascular wall in Dieulafoy's disease. METHODS In this study, the main structural changes of the intima and media of the vascular wall were observed by special staining and immunohistochemical methods in the subjects of Dieulafoy's disease of stomach and intestine. RESULTS There were many vessels of different sizes in the submucosa, with uneven wall thickness of the vessels. Compared with the normal control group, the content of blue collagen fibers between the vascular smooth muscle cells in the lesion group was increased, the elastic fibers were thickened, and the internal elastic plate was arranged stiff or even interrupted. CONCLUSIONS The increase of collagen and elastic fibers between the smooth muscle cells of the medium membrane and the destruction of the structure of the inner elastic plate may be the structural basis of vascular lesions leading to Dieulafoy's disease.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION With the global increase in life expectancy, there is an increase in gastrointestinal presentations in the elderly. Small bowel bleeding (SBB) is a cause of significant morbidity in the elderly requiring multiple hospital visits, investigations and potentially expensive therapy. AREAS COVERED In this review we will outline the different modalities which are used for the diagnosis and management of SBB. We will also discuss the common causes of SBB in the elderly. EXPERT OPINION SBB in elderly has a significant impact on the quality of life of the elderly. Larger randomized studies in the elderly are urgently required to help guide clinicians on the best and most cost-effective treatment algorithm in this challenging cohort.

Abstract
Jejunal Dieulafoy's lesion is an exceedingly rare but important cause of gastrointestinal bleeding. It frequently presents as a diagnostic and therapeutic conundrum due to the rare occurrence, intermittent bleeding symptoms often requiring prompt clinical action, variability in the detection and treatment methods, and the risk of rebleeding. We performed a systematic literature search of MEDLINE, Cochrane, Embase, and Scopus databases regarding jejunal Dieulafoy's lesio from inception till June 2020. A total of 136 cases were retrieved from 76 articles. The mean age was 55 ± 24 years, with 55% of cases reported in males. Patients commonly presented with melena (33%), obscure-overt gastrointestinal bleeding (29%), and hemodynamic compromise (20%). Hypertension (26%), prior gastrointestinal surgery (14%), and valvular heart disease (13%) were the major underlying disorders. Conventional endoscopy often failed but single- and double-balloon enteroscopy identified the lesion in 96% and 98% of patients, respectively. There was no consensus on the treatment. Endoscopic therapy was instituted in 64% of patients. Combination therapy (34%) with two or more endoscopic modalities, was the preferred approach. With regard to endoscopic monotherapy, hemoclipping (19%) and argon plasma coagulation (4%) were frequently employed procedures. Furthermore, direct surgical intervention in 32% and angiographic embolization was performed in 4% of patients. The rebleeding rate was 13.4%, with a mean follow-up duration of 17.6 ± 21.98 months. The overall mortality rate was 4.4%. Jejunal Dieulafoy's lesion is still difficult to diagnose and manage. Although the standard diagnostic and therapeutic modalities remain to be determined, device-assisted enteroscopy might yield promising outcomes.

Abstract
Small bowel vascular lesions, including angioectasia (AE), Dieulafoy’s lesion (DL) and arteriovenous malformation (AVM), are the most common causes of obscure gastrointestinal bleeding. Since AE are considered to be venous lesions, they usually manifest as a chronic, well-compensated condition. Subsequent to video capsule endoscopy, deep enteroscopy can be applied to control active bleeding or to improve anemia necessitating blood transfusion. Despite the initial treatment efficacy of argon plasma coagulation (APC), many patients experience re-bleeding, probably because of recurrent or missed AEs. Pharmacological treatments can be considered for patients who have not responded well to other types of treatment or in whom endoscopy is contraindicated. Meanwhile, a conservative approach with iron supplementation remains an option for patients with mild anemia. DL and AVM are considered to be arterial lesions; therefore, these lesions frequently cause acute life-threatening hemorrhage. Mechanical hemostasis using endoclips is recommended to treat DLs, considering the high re-bleeding rate after primary APC cauterization. Meanwhile, most small bowel AVMs are large and susceptible to re-bleeding therefore, they usually require surgical resection. To achieve optimal diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for each type of small bowel lesion, the differences in their epidemiology, pathology and clinical presentation must be understood.

Abstract
Dieulafoy's lesions (DLs) are rare and cause gastrointestinal bleeding resulting from erosion of dilated submucosal vessels. The most common location for DL is the stomach, followed by duodenum. There is little information about duodenal and jejunal DLs. Challenges for diagnosis and treatment of Dieulafoy's lesions include the rare nature of the disease, asymptomatic patients, bleeding symptoms often requiring rapid diagnosis and treatment in symptomatic patients, variability in the diagnosis and treatment methods resulting from different lesion locations, and the risk of re-bleeding. For these reasons, there is no universal consensus about the diagnosis and treatment approach. There are few published case reports and case series recently published. Most duodenal DLs are not evaluated seperately in the studies, which makes it difficult to determine the optimal model. In this study, we summarize the general aspects and recent approaches used to treat duodenal DL.

Abstract
RATIONALE We are reporting the first-to our knowledge-case of duodenal Plexiform Fibromyxoma causing obscure upper gastrointestinal bleeding. PATIENT CONCERNS Plexiform fibromyxoma triggered recurrent upper gastrointestinal bleeding episodes in a 63-year-old man who remained undiagnosed, despite multiple hospitalizations, extensive diagnostic workups and surgical interventions (including gastrectomies), for almost 17 years. DIAGNOSES-INTERVENTIONS During hospitalization for the last bleeding episode, an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy revealed an intestinal hemorrhagic nodule. The lesion was deemed unresectable by endoscopic means. An abdominal computerized tomography disclosed no further lesions and surgery was decided. The lesion at operation was found near the edge of the duodenal stump and treated with pancreas-preserving duodenectomy (1st and 2nd portion). OUTCOMES Postoperative recovery was mainly uneventful and a 20-month follow-up finds the patient in good health with no need for blood transfusions.Plexiform fibromyxomas stand for a rare and widely unknown mesenchymal entity. Despite the fact that they closely resemble other gastrointestinal tumors, they distinctly vary in clinical management as well as the histopathology. Clinical awareness and further research are compulsory to elucidate its clinical course and prognosis.

Abstract
Occult gastrointestinal bleeding is not visible and may present with a positive fecal occult blood test or iron deficiency anemia. Obscure bleeding can be overt or occult, with no source identified despite an appropriate diagnostic workup. A stepwise approach to this evaluation after negative upper and lower endoscopy has been shown to be cost effective. This includes repeat endoscopies if warranted, followed by video capsule endoscopy (VCE) if no obstruction is present. If the VCE is positive then specific endoscopic intervention may be possible. If negative, patients may undergo either repeat testing or watchful waiting with iron supplements.

Abstract
Dieulafoy lesions (DLs) are an uncommon cause of gastrointestinal bleeding, accounting for up to 2% of cases overall. They are largely under recognised and difficult to treat. Up to 95% occur in the stomach, and only case reports document their occurrence in the small bowel (SB). Little is known about their pathophysiology, although there have been associations made previously with chronic liver disease, thought to be due to the erosive effects of alcohol on the mucosa overlying the abnormally dilated vessels. We present a case series of 4 patients with a long duration of obscure gastrointestinal bleeding, who were diagnosed with small intestinal DLs and incidentally diagnosed with chronic liver disease. The histories describe the challenges in both diagnosis and treatment of small intestinal DLs. Our case series suggest a previously unreported link between chronic liver disease and SB DLs which may be due to anatomical vasculature changes or a shift in angiogenic factors as a consequence of portal hypertension or liver cirrhosis.

Abstract
Dieulafoy's lesion (DL) is a persistently wide caliber artery that is observed more frequently at the fifth decade of life in the male population with multiple comorbidities. There are a variety of endoscopic therapies that have been used to treat DL; however, there are no clear guidelines on the best treatment modality. This article systematically reviews the diagnosis, the most commonly reported therapies of DL, and offers a suggested algorithm based upon efficacy of treatment such as initial hemostasis, rebleeding rates, and mortality.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Traditionally, localization of small intestine sources of obscure gastrointestinal bleeding has been a challenge. Advances in the field of endoscopy with the introduction of capsule endoscopy and radiographic imaging with computed tomography angiography and visceral angiography have facilitated more accurate visualization of the small intestine. If a bleeding lesion is identified on angiography and surgery is indicated, the use of methylene blue for enteric mapping is very effective to aid intraoperative localization of the culprit. However, when this is not an option, more invasive surgical techniques are required. PRESENTATION OF CASE We present a new technique used in a patient with angiodysplasia of the small intestine, in where preoperative localization was done using percutaneous computed tomography (CT) guided injection of methylene blue dye. This allowed us to perform a single incision laparoscopic small intestine resection of the culprit.

Abstract
The small intestine is an uncommon site of gastro-intestinal (GI) bleeding; however it is the commonest cause of obscure GI bleeding. It may require multiple blood transfusions, diagnostic procedures and repeated hospitalizations. Angiodysplasia is the commonest cause of obscure GI bleeding, particularly in the elderly. Inflammatory lesions and tumours are the usual causes of small intestinal bleeding in younger patients. Capsule endoscopy and deep enteroscopy have improved our ability to investigate small bowel bleeds. Deep enteroscopy has also an added advantage of therapeutic potential. Computed tomography is helpful in identifying extra-intestinal lesions. In cases of difficult diagnosis, surgery and intra-operative enteroscopy can help with diagnosis and management. The treatment is dependent upon the aetiology of the bleed. An overt bleed requires aggressive resuscitation and immediate localisation of the lesion for institution of appropriate therapy. Small bowel bleeding can be managed by conservative, radiological, pharmacological, endoscopic and surgical methods, depending upon indications, expertise and availability. Some patients, especially those with multiple vascular lesions, can re-bleed even after appropriate treatment and pose difficult challenge to the treating physician.

Abstract
The Dieulafoy lesion is a rare cause of severe gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Although it may occur anywhere in the gastrointestinal tract, the lesion is most commonly located in the stomach, and the small bowel is an extremely uncommon site. Since Dieulafoy lesion in the small bowel is difficult to access by endoscopy, it seems impossible to diagnose and treat by initial endoscopy unlike the lesions in stomach. We experienced a case of Dieulafoy lesion of jejunum with massive hemorrhage in 54-year-old male. Active jejunal bleeding was shown by computed tomography scan and mesenteric angiography. Partial resection of the jejunum was performed. Final pathologic finding revealed Dieulafoy lesion of the jejunum.

Abstract
Ileal Dieulafoy lesion is an unusual vascular abnormality that can cause gastrointestinal bleeding. It can be associated with massive, life-threatening hemorrhage and requires urgent angiographic intervention or surgery. Ileal Dieulafoy lesion is hard to recognize due to inaccessibility and normal-appearing mucosa. With advances in endoscopy, aggressive diagnostic and therapeutic approaches including enteroscopy have recently been performed for small bowel bleeding. We report two cases of massive ileal Dieulafoy lesion bleeding diagnosed and treated successfully by single balloon enteroscopy with a review of the literature.

Abstract
Dieulafoy lesion is a rare cause of upper gastrointestinal bleeding. We present a case report of sudden and unexpected death in a previously healthy male where autopsy revealed a classic Dieulafoy lesion with a submucosal artery protruding through a small mucosal defect in the esophagus, thereby exposing it to stress and consequent rupture. Advances in endoscopic techniques have drastically reduced mortality from Dieulafoy lesion. Nevertheless, it is an important diagnosis to be kept in mind when autopsy reveals an upper gastrointestinal bleeding.

Abstract
Background. In 1897, Dieulafoy was the first to characterize a gaping arteriole within the gastric mucosa causing massive hematemesis, designating it as “exulceratio simplex.” A hundred years later, this vascular abnormality, now commonly referred to as a “Dieulafoy lesion,” has been identified through the entire gastrointestinal tract and the bronchus. Objectives and Methods. As the original findings have been subjected to revisions and modifications by modern authors, Dieulafoy's original paper was reviewed and analyzed. The evolution of the current usage of “Dieulafoy's lesion” in the literature has been summarized with comparisons to the original report. Additionally, an index case of a 10-year-old female with a gastric “exulceratio simplex” is reported with a review of previously reported paediatric Dieulafoy lesions. Conclusions. The term “Dieulafoy lesion” in modern literature no longer adheres to the initial conclusions with regards to its origin, demographics, and presenting symptoms. Dieulafoy lesions remain a rare cause of gastrointestinal bleeding that can cause life-threatening haemorrhages in children.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Dieulafoy lesions consist of aberrant submucosal arteries, which can cause severe GI bleeding. The predominant location of Dieulafoy lesions is the upper GI tract. OBJECTIVE To our best knowledge, this is the first systematic study on the frequency of bleeding from Dieulafoy lesions in the small bowel and the efficacy of enteroscopic therapy regarding primary hemostasis and long-term follow-up. DESIGN Multicenter, retrospective, observational study. SETTING Nine Austrian centers doing double-balloon enteroscopy or single-balloon enteroscopy. PATIENTS This study involved 284 consecutive patients who were referred for double-balloon enteroscopy or single-balloon enteroscopy because of suspicion of mid-GI bleeding. INTERVENTION A total of 317 double-balloon enteroscopy and 78 single-balloon enteroscopy procedures were performed in 284 patients with suspected mid-GI bleeding. MAIN OUTCOME MEASUREMENTS Demographic, clinical, procedural, and outcome data were collected. RESULTS A Dieulafoy lesion in the small bowel was identified as the source of mid-GI bleeding in 3.5% of patients, with a mean of 1.5 enteroscopy sessions required per diagnosis. In 9 cases the Dieulafoy lesion was found by enteroscopy from an oral approach, and in 1 patient the lesion was found by an anal approach. In all patients primary endoscopic hemostasis was successful. Eight of 10 patients were free from rebleeding episodes (median follow-up 14.5 months, interquartile range 10.0-17.5 months). In 2 of 10 patients, rebleeding occurred, and a surgical intervention was necessary. LIMITATIONS Retrospective study. CONCLUSION Bleeding from Dieulafoy lesions of the small bowel seems to occur more frequently than previously estimated. Most of these lesions are located in the proximal jejunum and can be managed successfully by enteroscopy. After successful endoscopic hemostasis, rebleeding episodes occur in only 20% of patients.

Abstract
This is one of a series of statements discussing the use of GI endoscopy in common clinical situations. The Standards of Practice Committee of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) prepared this text. In preparing this guideline, we performed a search of the medical literature by using PubMed. Additional references were obtained from the bibliographies of the identified articles and from recommendations of expert consultants. Guidelines for appropriate use of endoscopy are based on a critical review of the available data and expert consensus at the time the guidelines were drafted. Further controlled clinical studies may be needed to clarify aspects of this guideline. This guideline may be revised as necessary to account for changes in technology, new data, or other aspects of clinical practice. The recommendations are based on reviewed studies and are graded on the strength of the supporting evidence (Table 1).(1) The strength of individual recommendations is based both upon the aggregate evidence quality and an assessment of the anticipated benefits and harms. Weaker recommendations are indicated by phrases such as "we suggest," whereas stronger recommendations are typically stated as "we recommend." This guideline is intended to be an educational device to provide information that may assist endoscopists in providing care to patients. This guideline is not a rule and should not be construed as establishing a legal standard of care or as encouraging, advocating, requiring, or discouraging any particular treatment. Clinical decisions in any particular case involve a complex analysis of the patient's condition and available courses of action. Therefore, clinical considerations may lead an endoscopist to take a course of action that varies from these guidelines.

Abstract
Dieulafoy's lesions are rare and usually present in the stomach. There are only 18 cases of jejunal Dieulafoy's lesion reported. It can present as a massive gastrointestinal bleed and a high grade of suspicion is necessary for a quick and effective approach. The authors present the case of a 14-year-old adolescent with a sudden onset of hematochezia and shock. The high and low endoscopies as well as the arteriography were all inconclusive. An exploratory laparotomy was undertaken in the first 24 h of hospital admission. A review of the small bowel by advancing soft bowel clamps in a sequential manner revealed a bleeding lesion in the jejunum. The histological exam showed a Dieulafoy's lesion.

Abstract
Capsule endoscopy enables high-resolution depiction of small bowel mucosa and has been shown, by several studies, to have a high diagnostic yield in a variety of small bowel diseases. In this review, we critically assess the contributions of capsule endoscopy and imaging tests in common small bowel disorders. Radiological tests that only assess the small bowel mucosa will be less useful in the era of capsule endoscopy.

Abstract
AIM: To identify rates of occurrence, common clinical and endoscopic features, and to review the outcome of endoscopic management of Dieulafoy’s lesions in the upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract in an urban community hospital setting.
METHODS: Endoscopic data from esophagogastroduodenoscopies (EGDs), done at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY between 2000 and 2006 were reviewed to identify patients with Dieulafoy’s lesions. Demographic data, medical history, examination findings, lab data, endoscopic findings and details of therapy for patients treated for Dieulafoy’s lesions were reviewed retrospectively.
RESULTS: Dieulafoy’s lesions were documented to be the cause of bleeding in approximately 1% of patients presenting with upper gastrointestinal bleeding, while they were detected in only 2 patients when the indications for EGDs were different from active GI bleeding. When we analyzed EGDs performed in patients above age 65 years presenting with gastrointestinal bleeding, prevalence of Dieulafoy’s lesions approached 10 percent. The most common location of the lesion was the body of stomach (7), followed by the cardia (4) and the esophagus (2). One patient had this lesion in the fundus and one patient in the duodenal apex. All patients were initially treated endoscopically with epinephrine injection, in eight cases heater probe was applied following epinephrine and endoscopic clips were applied in two cases. All but one of the patients did well in near and intermediate term follow-up (average follow-up period of 18 mo). One patient died of multi-organ failure during the same hospital stay. Average length hospital stay was 7 d.
CONCLUSION: Community hospital gastroenterologists and endoscopists should be aware that Dieulafoy's lesions are an uncommon cause of upper GI bleeding among elderly patients. Early accurate diagnosis through emergent endoscopy and endoscopic therapy, especially in patients with multiple co-morbid conditions, can be very effective and life saving.

Abstract
Traditional diagnostic methods do not work well for gastrointestinal bleeding, and location of the haemorrhagic focus is even more difficult. Here a novel method with a microelectronic system is presented effectively to detect and locate the haemorrhagic focus. The outstanding advantage of this method is that it is non-invasive. The composition and working principles of the system are described in detail. Key to this system is the development of a haemoglobin (Hb) sensor. Through MEMS technology a micro haemoglobin sensor is developed and fabricated. The sensor's response performance, pH dependence and temperature dependence are tested experimentally. Initial tests suggest that the device is sufficiently sensitive to Hb concentration and insensitive to pH and temperature changes in the working range. As a result, the system has potential for development of an advanced instrument for detecting, localizing and treating gastrointestinal bleeding.

Abstract
Dieulafoy’s lesion is an unusual cause of recurrent GI bleeding. This report describes a case of actively bleeding Dieulafoy’s lesion of the small bowel in which the diagnosis was made by capsule endoscopy, followed by treatment with the use of push enteroscopy. The case illustrates that capsule endoscopy and enteroscopy are highly complementary in patients with small bowel diseases.

Abstract
Dieulafoy's lesion is an uncommon cause of gastrointestinal bleeding. Hemorrhage occurs through mucosal erosion from an abnormally dilated submucosal artery. Although Dieulafoy's lesion is usually located in the stomach, it may occur anywhere in the gastrointestinal tract. We report here on a case of jejunal Dieulafoy's lesion presenting as a mass and short segment stricture on CT and enteroclysis.

Abstract
Segmental dilatation of the bowel and Dieulafoy's lesions are uncommon but important causes of gastrointestinal bleeding. These conditions are well described in adults but can occur in children as well. Here, the authors present a case of a boy with gastrointestinal bleeding from an ulcerated Dieulafoy's lesion found concomitantly within a segment of idiopathically dilated ileum. The simultaneous occurrence of both of these lesions in a symptomatic child has not been reported previously.

When little or no data exist from well-designed prospective trials, emphasis is given to results from large series and reports from recognized experts. Guidelines for appropriate utilization of endoscopy are based on a critical review of the available data and expert consensus. Further controlled clinical studies are needed to clarify aspects of this statement, and revision may be necessary as new data appear. Clinical consideration may justify a course of action at variance to these recommendations.

Abstract
A hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) approach was developed for elderly or ill patients with hematologic malignancies that employed nonmyeloablative conditioning to avoid common regimen-related toxicities and relied on graft-versus-tumor effects for control of malignancy. Eighty-nine patients, median age 53 years, were given fludarabine (90 mg/m2) and 2 Gy total body irradiation. Marrow (n = 18) or granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF)-stimulated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (G-PBMCs; n = 71) were transplanted from unrelated donors matched for human leukocyte antigen A (HLA-A), -B, -C antigens and -DRB1 and -DQB1 alleles. Postgrafting immunosuppression included mycophenolate mofetil and cyclosporine. Donor T-cell chimerism was higher for G-PBMCs compared with marrow recipients. Durable engraftment was observed in 85% of G-PBMCs and 56% of marrow recipients. Cumulative probabilities of grade II, III, and IV acute graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) were 42%, 8%, and 2%, respectively. Nonrelapse mortality at day 100 and at 1 year was 11% and 16%, respectively. One-year overall survivals and progression-free survivals were 52% and 38%, respectively. G-PBMC recipients had improved survival (57% vs 33%) and progression-free survival (44% vs 17%) compared with marrow recipients. HLA-matched unrelated donor HCT after nonmyeloablative conditioning is feasible in patients ineligible for conventional HCT. G-PBMCs conferred higher donor T-cell chimerism, greater durable engraftment, and better progression-free and overall survivals compared with marrow.

Abstract
Toxicities of high-dose conditioning regimens have limited the use of conventional unrelated donor hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) to younger, medically fit patients. Based on preclinical studies, an HCT approach has been developed for elderly or medically infirm patients with HLA-matched or mismatched unrelated donors. In this study, 52 patients with hematological diseases were included. Most (88%) had preceding unsuccessful conventional HCT or refractory/advanced disease. Patients were treated with fludarabine 30 mg/m(2)/d from days -4 to -2, 2 Gy total body irradiation on day 0, cyclosporine at 6.25 mg/kg twice daily from day -3, and mycophenolate mofetil at 15 mg/kg twice daily from day 0. Durable donor chimerism was attained in 88% of the patients. By day 28, a median of 100% of CD56(+) cells were of donor origin. Granulocyte and T-cell donor chimerism increased to medians of 100% on day 56 and day 180 (range, 55%-100%), respectively. Acute GVHD, grade II, was seen in 42% (CI, 29%-56%); grade III in 8% (CI, 0%-15%); and grade IV in 13% (CI, 4%-23%) of patients; it was fatal in 9%. The 100-day transplantation-related mortality was 11%. Complete remissions, including molecular remissions, were seen in 45% of patients with measurable disease before transplantation. Mortality from disease progression was 27% at one year. With a median follow-up of 19 months, 18 of the 52 patients (35%) were alive and 25% were in remission. HCT from HLA-matched or mismatched unrelated donors can be performed with a reduced intensity conditioning regimen in patients ineligible for conventional HCT.
