Prof. Guo-Lin Ma was born in Shanxi Province on May the 12th, 1964. He has taken the M.D. Degree from Peking Union Medical College in 2013 and majored in imaging and nuclear medicine. He currently serves as Chief Radiologist of Department of Radiology of China-Japan Friendship Hospital and Professor of Department of Medicine of Peking University. From September 2012 to October 2013, he worked as a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Radiology, University of California, San Diego, USA. He once served as deputy director of the Health Committee of Shaan’xi Province, Shaan’xi Province, China. As regards the scientific activity, he has published more than 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is executive Vice Chairman, Branch of Medical Imaging Engineering and Technology, Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the CT Engineering and Technology Special Committee of the China Association of Medical Equipment, standing committee member of the CT Application Special Committee of the China Association of Medical Equipment, and Chinese Medical Information and big data Association. He is a member of editorial board of Chinese Journal of Medicine, Chinese Journal of Radiological Medicine and Protection and other journals. He presided 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 2 projects of the National Key Research and Development Program of China. He has achieved one first prize and two third prizes for scientific and technological progress at the provincial and ministerial level in China. His main research areas include basic and clinical application of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), artificial intelligence and radiomics, and specialize in imaging diagnosis of neurological and mental disorders.
