Reader Comments:
Over all a good study. Interventions too are important. Inborn/ Outborn; Therapeutic hypothermia; cerebral function monitoring are important. Delay in cooling, stabilizing are key factors to consider. All the infants with HIE stage 1,2 and 3 were cooled- Total body hypothermia? No mention about cooling in the manuscript. Did u use CFM or EEG to monitor brain. Only30% required ventilation and inotropes. * Did cooling increase the rate of high troponin? Cooling an increase PPHN, oxygenation and coronary perfusion.

Many thanks for reading our article with interest and valid comments. . The method used for cooling was total body hypothermia. We did use CFM for monitor brain but it was not used in all neonates as there were limited machines. Hence this data we could not analyse. We did not look into the deatils like whether cooling increased the Troponin. Thank you very much
