Massimiliano Leigheb was Born in Italy in 1971. After a clinical period at Linkoping University (Sweden), and research activity at the Orthopaedic-Research-Unit of Cambridge University (U.K.), in 1997 he graduated in Medicine and Surgery (MD) at Turin University” (Ita). In 1997-’98 Dr Leigheb attended Cochin University Hospital in Paris (F). In 2003 he specialized in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Modena University (Ita). Since 2003 Dr Leigheb carries out research and teaching activities (“Functional and Clinical Human Anatomy of Locomotive Apparatus”, “Locomotive Apparatus Deseases”, “Orthopaedics and Traumatology”) at the School of Medicine of “Università del Piemonte Orientale” (UPO) (Ita). Since 2 may 2019 he is Associate Professor of Locomotive Apparatus Deseases at the Department of Health Sciences of Università del Piemonte Orientale (Ita). Since 2005 to date Mr Leigheb is Medical Manager in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at “AOU Maggiore della carità” University Hospital in Novara (Ita). In 2007 he got the PhD Degree in degenerative patologies and immunopatology at Insubriae University in Varese (Ita); in 2008 the II level Master in Hand and MicroSurgery at Modena Univesity (Ita); in 2010 the Microsurgical Techniques Degree at Cardarelli Hospital in Napoli (Ita). Since may 2nd 2019 is Associate Professor of “Locomotive Apparatus Diseases” at the Department of Health Sciences, School of Medicine of the Eastern Piedmont University (UPO) in Novara, Italy. Prof. Leigheb has been speaker or auditor at more than 160 courses and congresses. Scientific production up to 2019 includes more than 100 works. Main areas of research interest are Connective Tissues Engineering and Regenerative Medicine & Surgery, Hand and Foot Surgery.
