Reader Comments:
As we know, most surgeons are familiar with two classical techniques: Continuous suture or simple interrupted suture. The authors introduced a novel suture design, “double diabolo”.
Some details should be clarified. Is the number of stitch points in each suture the same? For instance, simple interrupted suture group has 2 stitch points whereas “double diabolo” needs more stitch points. Apparently “double diabolo” has stronger force. Besides, is total length of stitches lines the same among three groups?
The design of four 45º angles on each part of the surfaces to be join could be applied on clean cut. If stitch can’t reach the ideal angles, suture may not be stable.
It’s a practical study for surgeons.

Thank you for your reply. The number of stitch points in each suture the same, each 1 cm as interruptedband continous suture.Total length of stitches lines is the same among three groups. The design of four 45º angles on each part of the surfaces to be join can be applied on clean cut. We are now in phase III, experimental study.
