The study is interesting and focusing, which supplemented the previous topics that did not take into account age and tumor location. It is of certain implications for clinical practice of HCC, whereas retrospective with relatively small number of subjects.

Reader Comments:
This retrospective cohort confirmed the role of RFA in the locoregional treatment of small HCC not feasible for safe resection, mainly in the postero-superior and deep liver locations. Whereas it is retropective research, it has a very well designed methodology for this comparision (RFA versus resection). Congratulations for the authors.

Reader Comments:
This article which is a retrospective study is quite useful. Several reports suggest LR a better option for small HCC. However, this study clearly shows RFA is a better option in their study over 77 patients.
The major drawback of this study is that it is a retrospective one.
