He is presently working in West China Hospital, Sichuan University as associate director of Gastroenterology Department, and director of Endoscopy Center. His specialty is digestive endoscopy minimal invasive treatment, which is as an advanced level in China. He has published 48 articles in the past years, which were listed in SCI (the total impact factors are about 350). He has authored 2 textbooks in medical science. He is the associate editor of 3 textbooks published by People’s Medical Publishing House, and took part in compilation of 7 textbooks published by People’s Medical Publishing House. He has applied for a number of patents and 5 patents have been granted. As the chief scientist, he undertook one of the national key R&D projects (formerly 973, 863 projects with a total funding of 23.78 million yuan).HeI also undertook 2 projects as the principal supported by National Natural Foundation of China and 4 provincial key projects. He is a member editor of several medical magazines such as Endoscopy Ultrasound, Video GIE, etc. He is also a member of many medical organizations, including a standing member of Society of Digestive Endoscopy, China Medical Association, a member of national digestive endoscopic quality control panel, candidate director member of Sichuan Society of Digestive Endoscopy. He has given over 200 times of demonstrative surgeries in hospitals across China. He delivered thematic speeches on national digestive science conferences, and he provided hand-on-hand demonstrations to endoscopic physicians from European, American, Russian and Indian hospitals during international medical conferences. In September 2013, he was invited to attend a conference in Russia to give a thematic speech and hand-on-hand demonstration. In May 2014, he was invited to America DDW to give my thematic speech. In November 2016, he was invited by American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) to be the hand-on-hand ESD and POEM trainer. In January 2017, he was invited to give a thematic speech and hand-on-hand demonstration in Amrita Hospital, India. In January 2017, he was invited to give a thematic speech about 90 minutes at UT Southwestern Medical Center, a famous medical center in the United States. In July 2018, he was invited to attend the 4th International Symposium in Athens, gave thematic speech and to be the hand-on-hand endoscopic trainer. In October 2018, he was invited by American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) to be the hand-on-hand ERCP trainer. He has been active to extend applied new technologies to over 100 hospitals to improve the level of endoscopic treatment in Southwest China mainly via providing training to over 200 endoscopic physicians every year, including those from European and American hospitals.
