本文作者分别通过高，中，低不同浓度连翘苷对胃癌细胞HGC27的增殖，侵袭和迁移的影响，此外细胞中炎症因子TNF-α和IL-6的表达受到抑制；同时在敲减长基因间非编码RNA 00342时，胃癌细胞HGC27的增殖，侵袭和迁移以及细胞中炎症因子TNF-α和IL-6的表达与HGC27细胞受到连翘苷抑制细胞功能相一致。此外当高表达长基因间非编码RNA 00342时，连翘苷对胃癌细胞HGC27上述功能影响和细胞中炎症因子TNF-α和IL-6的表达明显减弱。作者很好展示上述现象。但连翘苷是否直接或间接通过对胃癌细胞HGC27中长基因间非编码RNA 00342调控来影响上述功能，未有足够证据加以证明，且仅一株胃癌细胞难以提供足够说服力。
